Bluebirds on my feeder, make me happy

While it’s a little depressing to still have a snow covered yard – the bluebirds don’t seem to mind and they are busily feeding.  We fill our No-No feeders with C&S bluebird suet nuggets and there has been lot of activity the last couple of weeks.  We have a nesting box in the meadow out front, but we have been seeing several pairs, so they must be finding other spots in the neighborhood as well.

Sadly, one  of the freezing cold days last week, we found a dead female in the driveway and her mate was hovering in the thicket, so we got a shovel and moved her over to where the male was so he wouldn’t be too close to the driveway.  We didn’t know what else to do.
