Fun & Travel Friendly Plastic Free Favorites

Week 28 - Day 214 of 2023 July 13th

We grew up using bars instead of plastic bottles for soap and shampoo. Guess what is trending again? Yay! - As plastic pollution is growing, consumers are looking for ways to reduce their plastic use. Here are some oldies but goodies, as well as some new comers that are fun to use - and, as a bonus, can be brought in your carry on bag.

Now there are lots of bars on the market, but to us, J.R.Liggetts is the original - They have been producing them for over three decades in New Hampshire- They have a great travel size that will fit in mint tin (Think Altoids) for your carry on bag - and they have their own travel bags too - No detergent means you don’t need conditioner - really. Go ahead and wash your hair in the lake - no phosphates either. You can use it as a body wash too. Lots of natural scents to choose from.

They also have a great pet shampoo that is the only thing that works on our itchy yellow lab/golden retriever mix - and we have tried a few.

Crabtree & Evelyn Broke our Hearts when they stopped carrying Rose and Lavender Soap Leaves - We went everywhere with them - Happy Days are here again as we we found these at Studio Oh! as an alternative.

For Moisturizing, these Body Stones are amazing - you kind of have to try one to believe it -You just warm with your hands. We are partial to the sleep stone - They also have a dusk stone/ insect repellant and blossom stones with honeysuckle and gardenia scents. We Buy the travel size - they also sell travel cases.
