Gingerbread Fun
Week 46 of 2024
One of the holiday highlights of my childhood was the annual delivery of a decorated gingerbread house from family friends. We marveled over it, but never took a bite. We popped it in the freezer at the end of the season to enjoy again.
Today, some of our favorite Holiday traditions still involve Gingerbread. We’ve made cookies, houses, cakes and loaves over the years. We have also sent decorated houses to delighted children. Here are some ideas for you to share gingerbread fun.
Look for Gingerbread Mix at Whole Foods, King Arthur Baking and Stonewall Kitchen - Some markets still carry the Betty Crocker’s Mix we grew up with.
