The National Wildlife Association (nwf.org ) The Conservation Foundation and Xerces.org want you to consider leaving your leaves alone this fall. Obviously it doesn’t apply to paved areas, but we have been longtime fans of leaving the leaves to mulch as we don’t like to apply fertilizer and less fertilizer means less water required. A win, win in our world. Leaves also shelter all kinds of wildlife. Go ahead and try it.
