Locket Play

Those of you familiar with my obsession with filling mason jars and making lanterns won’t be surprised by this post. It’s a similar idea in miniature that you can wear like a pendant or pin to yourjacket with a safety pin – ones without a spring work best. You could also put them on a key chain

Some people call these memory lockets. I’ve also seen the marketed as story lockets and floating lockets . I fill these with some of my favorite things. Confetti, lavender buds, sea glass, rainbow glitter, pink Bermuda sand, tiny starfish, googly eyes. I make little beach views with sand and shells.

Sand & Shells

My father had one like it with braided hair in it that was his mother’s- kind of creepy. It was stolen one New Years Eve when we were our of town, otherwise I would show it to you here. I could see keeping a baby hair lock in one of these.

They have a magnetic closure that makes it easy to open and close. I have never had one pop open while I was wearing it, but it’s not a vault

If you want to make your own you can find them on Etsy at Joannes and Michael’s. I’m not proud of it -but one time I bought them on sale at hobby lobby. boo
