Passing on the Joy of knitting.

I loved this piece in The New York Times

I learned how to knit from a family friend, sitting in the back row of the Madison Avenue M4 bus – as I travelled 30 blocks each weekday morning to school. She lived in my neighborhood and rode the bus further north to Harlem Hospital where she was a doctor. We rode the bus together for 10 years – she danced at our wedding and knit swaddling blankets for our babies

Thank you Virginia Wilking
