The Power of Three

Week 26 Day 172 of 2024 - June 20 First Day of Summer

Your brain loves the number three. The power of thinking in threes makes everything easier.

For one thing, your brain can only hold about 3 things in your short term memory at a time. Keeping things limited to 3 allows for greater focus to prevent feeling overwhelmed. Try it!

  • Work on three or less projects or goals at a time

  • Set three priorities a day to be more productive

  • Communicate more clearly with a maximum of 3 points at a time

  • Decorate your home with items grouped in threes

  • Choose three things on your to do list as next steps

  • If something feels overwhelming, break it down into small steps and focus on 3 at a time

  • At the end of the day - think of 3 good things that happened - or 3 things that you learned that day.
