Soap of Summer

For me, this will always be the soap of summer. We kept it in a surf clam shell in the outside shower. So large, it required two hands to get a good grip.

Part of our opening of the house ritual, was the annual trip to town to the gift shop that carried them.

It is a scent that transports me to memories of many happy beach summers.

Like so many things that I love, it has been discontinued. Now considered a “vintage” soap on Ebay. I still have a few bars left, that I hope will carry me through for a few more years. I opened up a new one yesterday for this summer.
