Text reminders

This has been on my wish list for quite a while.

I am a list maker, but lists don’t automatically merge with my calendar. Sometimes I miss my old paper day planner, the five ring one with the 2 inch spine. It was a lot to lug around and it didn’t back up to anything, but it was a system that worked for me, I could flip the pages to stay on track. ( I also loved my Rolodex)

As an empty nester, I have less to keep track of. No school calendars or sports schedules and umpteen maintenance appointments, but things keep slipping through the cracks.

Yes, I use the reminder app and receive notifications. I have an electronic calendar displayed in the kitchen and Alexa alerts me, which I love- but my to do list is still too easy to avoid

This week, I learned that I can ask Alexa to send me text reminders- game changer- in fact it was her suggestion. “By the way…..”. I had long ago, stopped trying to figure out ways to send text reminders- now I can, with typing or picking up a pen- I can just ask for a reminder and I get one

For me, text reminders may be technology at its best.
